Swami Vivekananda is one of the most iconic and prolific teacher of Vedas and was instrumental in bringing it to the Western shores.
Born on 12 January 1863 and died on 4 July 1902, without a doubt he was one of the greatest Indian saint, phenomenal social reformer, and a exem[;eary teacher of Vedantic philosophy and as a consequence brought it to sharp focus for the common man. So, in a way keeping in line with the Sagittarius Lagna and the lord Jupiter Brihaspati in the 11th bhava, it was indeed all about his Guru the great Prophet Master Ramkrishna Paramahamsa,. Swami Vivekananda met him in July 1 1881, barely had reached age 20, was a key turning point. From there on, his entire mission was clear, which is what he was born for. On the first meeting he wept while eating sweets, (How Jupiterean and obviously Kali spoke to him through Master Ramkrishna Paramahamsa. On subsequent meetings he realized when Swami put his foot on his chest and he could visualize the entire ‘Brahmand’ or cosmos, that this was no ordinary man, but a prophet of great powers. It is said he was Lord Dakshinamoortihi himself! Soon, following those years, he became the favourite disciple of Swami RamaKrishna, and kept going back and forth to Dakshineswar. He was in Vimshottari Rahu – Mercury antardasha.
Mercury and Shani is in parivartana , which will be active as Shani and Moon are together ina kalika Yoga. And no doubt that parivartana will be active.
1884, his father passwed away and year later Swami Ramakrishna was diagnosed with throat cancer, subsequently passing away two years later. towards the end of his life he was surrounded by his 12 disciples – like 12 apostles, or the 12 Rashis! In the year 1886, he gave up his studies in Law, and the examinations to become a lawyer instead stayed almost completely with Master in Cossipore.
In the January of 1886, Master distributed Gerua clothes to 12 disciples and eventually passing away in August. Rahu And Venus Antardasha, Venus is with Merrcury involved in a parivartana, and is exalted and rules the 12th in D9, as well as Venus is Lagnesha’s dispositor. So Venus will have a strong say in his life! All this ties up very well with Narayana Dasha of Aries, which has Mars in own mulatrikona, in Aries, and the results will be given by Shani!
In the Navamsa Chart D9, Shani and Mars are together. There are numerous reasons, that out of all the disiples of 12, of Paramhansa Rama Krishna , it was Vivekananda who gained all the glory and his contributions are exemplary. The AK King of the Chart – Atmakaraka is Sun in Dhanu and is Vargottama, making it akin to a great connection with Vishnu – Crown Chakra activation as well as Shiva. And Vargottama Surya Sun is a real Leader of leaders, and amazing enterprise. Spirit of mobilising and leading millions is given by the Surya and in a dual dvishwabhava bhava giving great connections and blessings with Lord Shiva. Also, Karakamsa – Surya in the 2nd house in D9, giving great spiritual strength. Adter parivartana, with Saturn and Mercury, it comes to a great karma dharmadhipati yoga.
A month later they all established a monastry in Baranagore and Christmas day of the year end of 1886, the 12 monks of Baranagore took oath in Antpur at home of Baburam, one of the disciples. To form and allegiance and a new order, the mission was to work for the emancipation of the world.
Hence that gave birth to the RamaKrishna Order.
In 1980, final journey away from Baranagore, did not return for seven years. He travelled along with Akhandananda went to Himalayas in July. First Bhagalpur, then Vaidyanath, Ghazipur, Varanasi, Ayodha, Naini Tal, to Almora on foot meeting Fakir and cucumber on the way, also vision of oneness of microsm with macrosm, in Almora joined by Saradananda and Kripananda, received news of sister’s death.
Feb 1991 to end – March of 1893,when he left for the US. Not much has been documented.But in July 30th 1893, He lands in Chicago on finds parliament months later, heads to Boston, finds friends, some lectures, back in Chicago in time for opening. In Spetember gives the grand speech and at the opening session of Parliament of religions.

Sisters and Brothers of America,
It fills my heart with joy unspeakable to rise in response to the warm and cordial welcome which you have given us. I thank you in the name of the most ancient order of monks in the world, I thank you in the name of the mother of religions, and I thank you in the name of millions and millions of Hindu people of all classes and sects.
My thanks, also, to some of the speakers on this platform who, referring to the delegates from the Orient, have told you that these men from far-off nations may well claim the honor of bearing to different lands the idea of toleration. I am proud to belong to a religion which has taught the world both tolerance and universal acceptance. We believe not only in universal toleration, but we accept all religions as true. I am proud to belong to a nation which has sheltered the persecuted and the refugees of all religions and all nations of the earth. I am proud to tell you that we have gathered in our bosom the purest remnant of the Israelites, who came to Southern India and took refuge with us in the very year in which their holy temple was shattered to pieces by Roman tyranny. I am proud to belong to the religion which has sheltered and is still fostering the remnant of the grand Zoroastrian nation. I will quote to you, brethren, a few lines from a hymn which I remember to have repeated from my earliest boyhood, which is every day repeated by millions of human beings: “As the different streams having their sources in different paths which men take through different tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to Thee.”
The present convention, which is one of the most august assemblies ever held, is in itself a vindication, a declaration to the world of the wonderful doctrine preached in the Gita: “Whosoever comes to Me, through whatsoever form, I reach him; all men are struggling through paths which in the end lead to me.” Sectarianism, bigotry, and its horrible descendant, fanaticism, have long possessed this beautiful earth. They have filled the earth with violence, drenched it often and often with human blood, destroyed civilization and sent whole nations to despair. Had it not been for these horrible demons, human society would be far more advanced than it is now. But their time is come; and I fervently hope that the bell that tolled this morning in honor of this convention may be the death-knell of all fanaticism, of all persecutions with the sword or with the pen, and of all uncharitable feelings between persons wending their way to the same goal.
Years from then on till his end, are the most active years of Vedanta and promoting Vedic teachings. No one has left such strong literary influences as he has especially through his letters. So many letters emerged!
Obviously, there was none as fiery and passionate a Teacher as Swami Vivekananda.
Vivekananda’s words are great music, phrases in the style of Beethoven, stirring rhythms like the march of Handel choruses. I cannot touch these sayings of his at thirty years distance without receiving a thrill through my body like an electric shock. The present leaders of India : Gandhi, Aurobindo, and Tagore, have grown, flowered, and born fruit under the double constellation of the Swan (Ramakrishna) and the Eagle (Vivekananda)
– Romain Rolland, the French savant, novelist, dramatist, essayist, and mystic was awarded Nobel Prize for Literature in 1915. Born on Jan 19, 1866, in Clamecy, Nièvre, France . An admirer of Gandhi, Ramakrishna and Vivekananda, he wrote books on all three.
The letters of swami Vivekanada, are phenomenal in their reach for mobilising humanity to take the spiritual reins in their own hands , and the only currency being the pursuit of Vedic knowledge.
His compassion and sense of universal love saw no boundaries in differentiating between a Shudra caste or a Brahmin caste or underdog of the society, the old women, widowed women and numerous sects of people who were outcaste, but were keen to study the Vedantic scriptures. His numerous letters in regard this issue and trying to find references in the Vedic Scriptures and the Upanishads and qualifications needed to study it, reveals enormous amount of his obsssession to ensure that all have access to the Divine Vedic Scriptures. Any wonder that this open mindedness is so explicit in his letters… (reproduced below) see highlighted. The phenomenal contribution was just this – Special section of underpriviledged and women in the Ramkrishnan Muth Ashram.

DEAR FRANKINCENSE,
. . . Things are going on with me very well on this side of the Atlantic.
The Sunday lectures were quite successful; so were the classes. The season has ended and I too am thoroughly exhausted. I am going to make a tour in Switzerland with Miss Müller. The Galsworthys have been very very kind. Joe (Miss Josephine MacLeod, also referred to as Joe.) brought them round splendidly. I simply admire Joe in her tact and quiet way. She is a feminine statesman or woman. She can wield a kingdom. I have seldom seen such strong yet good common sense in a human being. I will return next autumn and take up the work in America.
The night before last I was at a party at Mrs. Martin’s, about whom you must already know a good deal from Joe.
Well, the work is growing silently yet surely in England. Almost every other man or woman came to me and talked about the work. This British Empire with all its drawbacks is the greatest machine that ever existed for the dissemination of ideas. I mean to put my ideas in the centre of this machine, and they will spread all over the world. Of course, all great work is slow, and the difficulties are too many, especially as we Hindus are the conquered race. Yet, that is the very reason why it is bound to work, for spiritual ideals have always come from the downtrodden. Jews overwhelmed the Roman Empire with their spiritual ideals. You will be pleased to know that I am also learning my lessons every day in patience and, above all, in sympathy. I think I am beginning to see the Divine, even inside the high and mighty Anglo-Indians. I think I am slowly approaching to that state when I should be able to love the very “Devil” himself, if there were any.
At twenty years of age I was the most unsympathetic, uncompromising fanatic; I would not walk on the footpath on the theatre side of the streets in Calcutta. At thirty-three, I can live in the same house with prostitutes and never would think of saying a word of reproach to them. Is it degenerate? Or is it that I am broadening out into the Universal Love which is the Lord Himself? Again I have heard that if one does not sea the evil round him he cannot do good work — he lapses into a sort of fatalism. I do not see that. On the other hand, my power of work is immensely increasing and becoming immensely effective. Some days I get into a sort of ecstasy. I feel that I must bless every one, everything, love and embrace everything, and I do see that evil is a delusion. I am in one of these moods now, dear Francis, and am actually shedding tears of joy at the thought of you and Mrs. Leggett’s love and kindness to me. I bless the day I was born. I have had so much of kindness and love here, and that Love Infinite that brought me into being has guarded every one of my actions, good or bad, (don’t be frightened), for what am I, what was I ever, but a tool in His hands, for whose service I have given up everything, my beloved ones, my joys, my life? He is my playful darling, I am His playfellow. There is neither rhyme nor reason in the universe! That reason binds Him? He the playful one is playing these tears and laughters over all parts of the play! Great fun, great fun, as Joe says.
It is a funny world, and the funniest chap you ever saw is He — the Beloved Infinite! Fun, is it not? Brotherhood or playmatehood — a school of romping children let out to play in this playground of the world! Isn’t it? Whom to praise, whom to blame, it is all His play. They want explanations, but how can you explain Him? He is brainless, nor has He any reason. He is fooling us with little brains and reason, but this time He won’t find me napping.
I have learnt a thing or two: Beyond, beyond reason and learning and talking is the feeling, the “Love”, the “Beloved”. Ay, saké, fill up the cup and we will be mad.

Thus his transformation from a fiery, rebellious haughty 20 something to in a great spiritual teacher of great reach, in just under 9 years of active life speaks volumes of the kind of soul atma to have known , for generations to come.
