The Lunar Eclipse of 2021 on friday Nov 19th heralds the end of the Elemental Emphasis (Earth Taurus- Water Scorpio) and moving to Fire – Air (Aries- Libra)

This is a partial eclipse and like all eclipses for past few years in NOV-Dec in the Sidereal Month of Kartika – stress is on the Ketu in Scorpio and Rahu in Taurus .

This is a excellent time for silencing the monkey mind, taking time off to consolidate and contemplate on the plans for the New Year. And Aligning with the inner self by deep meditation, mantra chant and aiming for clarity of what you would like to acheive in concrete terms. This is time for the exlated Moon in Kritika ruled by the Fire Vedic Deity Agni and the Sun and Ketu in Visakha – also ruled by Indra AGni – There is of fire in both. The plans you make and commit to now will pave way for the knowldge to make it happen over Solar Eclipse following it and the effects will be felt months later.

During the eclipse, the Moon moves through the western part of the constellation Taurus. The Pleiades star cluster and the Hyades cluster ― including the bright star Aldebaran, eye of the bull.

71. 32. If the sun and moon should be eclipsed when in their Uttarāyaṇa (northward march), the Brāhmins and the Kṣatriyas will suffer; (Learned, Men of Letters, Priests etc are classed as Brāhmins & Kṣatriyas are the Fighter set of people, army etc as well as Corporate CEOs etc
    33. if when in their Dakṣiṇāyana (southward march) the Vaiśyas and the Śūdras will suffer. Uttara ayana is from 14 Jan to Karkaṭa saṅkrānti 15 Jul covering the last half of January, February, March, April, May, June and the first half of July. Here Vaiśyas and the Śūdras are the Merchants, businesses and people enegaged in business as well as working class services classes.

    Dakṣiṇa ayana is from Karkaṭa saṅkrānti 15 July to Makara saṅkrānti 14 Jan covering the last half of July, August, September, October, November, December and the first half of January.

Two consecutive eclipses of the Moon Lunar and Sun Solar

normally occur within a month of Kartika Mas as per the Vedic Calendar. If the solar eclipse were to occur at the end of the pakña (fortnight) after the lunar eclipse, then the people in general tend to become unruly and unjust and couples quarrel and divorces/separation increases. In the reverse i.e. the lunar eclipse occurring after the solar eclipse, the Brahmins and priests increase their prayers and people are happy and contented.

Since Varāhamihira states that this rule affects people, how it will affect individual people can be studied from their natal charts as well. For those people where the eclipse is occurring in the same nakṣatra (or rāśi) as natal Sun, the above rules would imply that the occurrence of two consecutive eclipses (one solar and the other lunar) would set them on either a new path of

(a) separative influences causing fighting, unrest and disturbances if the lunar eclipse precedes the solar eclipse

(b) spiritual growth, happiness and contentment if the lunar eclipse succeeds the solar eclipse.

THis Lunar eclipse is a sensitive time and although the Moon is in close exaltation degree of 3 and 2 ‘ invoking strong Fire with Fire God of Kritika Nakshatra which lies in Pleides. This is a very fierce constellation and indicates single minded focus, and the Sun in the fixed Star of Visakha which is also ruled by Indra-AGni. WHo is also strong on Fire. There is a theme of Fire (Sun and South Node in Scorpio) and Water-Earth (Moon-Venus,ruling Taurus) . Agni is a strong deity and has the capacity to seek the truth and help us trialblaxe our paths towards spirituality by lighting the fire of the divine within us!

Agni Purana states that Agni was made was from God of Earth known as Prithvi and the God of the Heavens known as Dyaus. However, he is described as the son of Rishi Angiras, Angiras is overseer of all of us.

Agni is derived from three key syllables – “a” (अ) is from root “i” which means ‘to go’, the letter “g” (ग्) is from the root “añj” meaning ‘to shine forth ‘  ‘leading’;  and the last letter is by itself the root “nī” नी which means ‘to lead’.

It is often said that the fire-god is called अग्नि (Agni) is the enlightened leader who is the ever awake disseminator of knowledge and the first principle of thought which manifests as Speech;

Hence The Sages knew about the ppower of resolve of Agni and it has been offered in forms of Hymns and chants in the monumental Vedic and oldest literature surviving on the Planet – The Rigveda. The opening lines of the Rigvedic Text begins with an ode to Agni – The fire God.

Meaning as below –

Agni’ means fire. This fire refers to the aspiring flame that rises from our inmost being; again, ‘Agni’ also refers to the fire god himself. We are all aspirants; we are all seekers of the infinite Truth. It is we who have to embody Agni, the flame of aspiration, in the inmost recesses of our hearts. We also have to grow upwards with this flame until we become the embodiment of Agni, the fire god himself.

He is also associated with Water. Agni,called by another name  is Arka, “water,” the accessory to worship, and the cause of fire that covers all food which covers all life (Yajurveda V.vii.5). Rishi Tritapti (Rig Veda X.v.3), in a mantra in praise of Agni, refers to the bearers of water, the most subtle and the most refined aspects of manifestations.Hence the process of Cooking (Food- Moon) needs water and fire. The two most vital Maha Tattva for our sustainence on this earthly existence.

THINGS TO DO ON ECLIPSE –

1.Powerful time, for manifestation. Begin with SHower bath and wear white / pale coloured clothing.

2. Light a Lamp (Diya) r a tea light and Ganesha Mantra. Abstain from food till the eclipse is over. Water is fine.

3, Make a list to manifest what you would like to do and see in your reality over the next few months.

4. Bear in mind Eclipses take and are effecrive over quaite a few months.

5. Narasimha Devata, is one of the Aavtars of Lord Vishnu and helps in overcoming this intense energy.

Buck Moon – Lunar Eclipse 5th July 2020 – A duality to resolve

This Lunar Eclipse is visible in all parts of the UK, Africa and Europe. It is a partially Visible Penumbral Eclipse.The eclipse will start on Sunday 5th July early morning ending the eclipse well after sunrise, when the visibility will be below the horizon.

Here in the UK, the eclipse will unfold in the wee morning hours of Sunday.

In North and South America, however, the eclipse will start late on Saturday.

The eclipse will also be partially visible from parts of Africa and West Europe.

This is a Apasavya Eclipse, meaning the Northern part of the Moon is in darkness, because of the shadow of the Earth. Brhat Samhita states ‘When the eclipse occurs on the Northern side, people will perish as a result of the tyranny of Kings and the depredations of robbers.’

Here the Luminaries, are aspected by Mercury and Jupiter. Hence it has capability of blocking off the evils of this Eclipse. Vishnu Aavatar – Narasimha would be hugely beneficial.

This eclipse is also called the Buck Moon or the Antler Moon, as the Earth’s shadow hits the northern region, partially keeping the moon in darkness. Giving it a antler’s horn like appearance. Thus alluding to the harvest, issues of food and abundance will be rife.

The Eclipse occurs in the sign of Gemini (Sun, Rahu & Mercury) while Moon, Jupiter and Ketu are in the sign of Sagittarius.It is said of such an eclipse ‘It would destroy Cheif Ministers, Horses, people of Videha, wrestlers, the pancalas, physicians, merchants, those that are rough and tough and weild weapons. Sign of Sagittarius is partly human, partly equastrian, and ruled by Jupiter, Brihaspati, and needless to say, persons and places depicted by this sign will tend to suffer ).

Should, Mercury aspect the eclipses Moon, ghee honey, and oils would become scarce and dear (assuming in price) and Kings would come to grief! According to Brhat Samhita, Kings is being referred to CEO’s of various companies, Ministers, Leaders etc. Should Mars aspect the Solar or Lunar disc, then outbreak of wars, risks from fire and trouble from robbers would be there.

A benefic Aspect of Jupiter (Amrita Dhristi, As per Pandit Sanjay Rath) will help to mitigate the above situations, which in this eclipse case it certainly is! Well we hope so.

According to Brhat Samhita, An Eclipse falling in the month of Asadha, will destroy the banks of wells, tanks, (referring to water bodies), those that live on roots and fruits , the people of Gandhara, Kashmir, Pulinda and China. Thats spells disaster for the borders of India and China. Will there be more trouble brewing ahead?

HARNESSING THE ECLIPSE ENERGY

All eclipses have some power to be able to harness some of its energies to put to greater awareness to our psyche and purpose in life. It awakens us, acts as trigger points especially if you have the Ascendant/Lagna, Sun and Moon in the same sign or Nakshatra associated with the head of the eclipse or the tail. Here the Sagittarius-Gemini Axis, with specifically planets in the Nakshtra of Ardra (Gemini) and Purvasadha (Sagittarius) going to be super charged.They will act as trigger points.
